Empowering Women - Issue 13

empowering women

Welcome to Empowering Women - Issue 13 and this issue focuses on relationships.  Enjoy!

Tracee Sioux over at So Sioux Me asks the questions, “Is insulating our girls from consequences of mean girl behavior really empowering to them? Or are we cheating them by refusing to make them responsible for their actions?” Her article, Girl Fight examines a trend of increased physical violence in girls resulting from mean girl behavior.

Our next article is about a 7 year old who is forging relationships. Edith Yeung presents If a Seven-Year-Old Can Do It, You Can Do It Too! over at Dream. Think. Act.

Lori Jewett discusses over at Women Connecting/Relationships how it can be difficult to connect with others as most people are a little shy, and do not wear their heart on their sleeve.  In her article, Between Us Girls she says “Connecting with other women is essential.  We can laugh together, cry together and learn from each other.  We all need, and deserve, this kind of connection in our lives and it is possible for all of us if we make the effort.”

Tina Su over at Think Simple. Be Decisive says “Not only is the feeling of jealousy not conducive for relationship building and effective communication, but it just doesn’t us feel very good.”  She offers 9 Ways to Overcome Jealousy.

Host Bee can’t emphasize enough the importance of forging and cultivating friendships among women. In her article, Cultivating Friendships she offers ways to spend quality time with friends whether old or new.
